Nomfundo is currently the Executive Director at The Centre for The Study of Violence and Reconciliation. She is a Clinical Psychologist with a Master’s degree from the University of the Witwatersrand. Her areas of expertise include psychosocial healing; traumatic stress, ex-combatants, collective trauma and leadership through emotional intelligence. She has over 15 years’ experience working within the violence prevention and peacebuilding fields. Previously, she headed the psychosocial programme within CSVR. She also worked as the director for the South African Institute for Traumatic Stress (SAITS), an NGO whose focus is training and capacity development for traumatic stress and victim empowerment practitioners.
