Markus A. Kirchschlager is Senior Policy Officer in the BMZ Division ‘Peace and Security; Disaster Risk Management.’ He is responsible for FCV related topics in multilateral organizations, the German Co-Chair of INCAF within the OECD/DAC, and processes dealing with (conflict)analysis, resilience, and conflict sensitivity. Before joining BMZ in May 2020, he worked as a research fellow of the GIGA Institute of Middles East Studies and was part of the research programs “Peace and Security” and “Power and Ideas.” He managed the program ‘Processes of International Negotiation (PIN)’ at GIGA and focused his research on regional patterns of international mediation.
