Kyra N. Luchtenberg is a Policy Analyst with the Peace, Security and Humanitarian Section of UN Women. She works on gender-responsive peacebuilding, with a particular focus on climate security and natural resource governance. Kyra previously worked at Independent Diplomat - a non-profit diplomatic advisory group - providing advice and assistance in diplomatic strategy to increase women’s participation in the Syria and Yemen peace processes. She contributed to several research projects on the drivers and dynamics of violent conflict and studies on forced displacement at the LSE Centre for Women, Peace & Security and the LSE Middle East Centre. Kyra obtained a master's degree in Conflict Resolution in Divided Societies from King’s College London and a master’s degree in Crisis and Security Mangement from the Leiden University.
