Carlos Sarti Castañeda

Carlos Sarti is an Anthropologist and political scientist. He has been director of the PROPAZ Foundation in Guatemala since 2003. In the years following the conclusion of the peace treaties in Guatemala (1996), he was responsible for the Systematization and Dialogue Promotion departments within the OAS Peacebuilding Programme (PROPAZ). He is an expert on resource conflicts and conflict management in multi-ethnic societies. He has dealt intensively with the analysis of the peace process in Guatemala in several books and publications.
